Street Sign Installation
As mentioned at the Fall Meeting, you will soon notice trucks and workers installing the new street signs for our roads. Installation is currently scheduled for October 3rd and 4th. Please be patient, slow down, and follow their directions in passing safely. We will be sure to have speed gates removed before this begins, to allow more room for vehicles to maneuver.
Jersey Barrier Temporarily on Sea Wall at 1 Sea Lane
The owners of 1 Sea Lane will be putting a jersey barrier on their sea wall in an attempt to protect their property from storm damage. They explained that none of the techniques they tried over the years has worked and, while this might not work either, they need to try it. The owners also explained that they understand it will be an eyesore; however, it will be there outside the hammer law period, and they will have the worst view of anyone since it will be right outside their window. The owners provided the Association with a release and certificate of insurance to protect OLS and its members against any damage that may occur in connection with the jersey barrier. Please be mindful of avoiding the jersey barrier. It is scheduled for placement on September 26 and removal no later than April 30, 2025. Hopefully, it will solve the problem for them.
Removal of Boats off the Beach
Reminder to remove all boats from the OLS beach by November 1st. Boats not removed are at risk of being disposed of after 11/1. The owner could be charged a fee plus will have to make arrangements to reclaim their property if not disposed of.
